The Public Sector Physiotherapists are working on issues raised, trying to increase the profile of physios within the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare and lobbying for improved representation in many areas including the number of posts available in the provinces, the grading system and benefits of public service. Possible solutions for the low remuneration and consequent inaffordability of continuing education courses are the development of a fund raising committee specifically for this purpose, and if successful a further funding for ZPA products. The therapists are also seeking to improve professional behaviour within the sector.
